Strengthen Your Ride. The SM-CRM86 aluminum chainrings are not only characterized by their excellent impact resistance, thanks to the Dynamic Chain Engagement technology they also offer outstanding chain retention. Perfectly matched to the Deore XT FC-M8200 crank, the 28-tooth version of the Direct Mount chainrings, for example, achieves its best performance in combination with the medium-length rear derailleur (RD-M8250-GS) and the cassette (CS-M8200) with 9-45 teeth from the same series.

Dynamic Chain Engagement |The special tooth profile improves both the retention and the guidance of the chain. This not only makes pedaling in rough terrain easier, but also reduces wear due to less abrasion.
