As at home on a backcountry mission with Steve Peat as it is hopping fences with Danny MacAskill, the 130mm-travel 5010 sports a short chainstay length and low BB height for a uniquely playful character with an insatiable appetite for negotiating steep, technical climbs. When it’s time to descend, the bike’s 67-degree head tube angle and generous reach/short stem combo equate to precise, confident handling. The top-tube-mounted, box-section upper link is a leap forward in durability and stiffness, and the lower link rests cleanly out of the way, dramatically improving clearance and minimizing rock strikes.
